What are your trading hours?
- Kyneton Country Market is open each Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm
(Closed when Saturday or Sunday falls on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day. Please check with Management regarding other public holidays)
What time can I load in and set up?

Load-in from 8:00am each Saturday and Sunday
- With Trailer:
Loading zone is in Mollison Street
5 minute parking only on Market Days, will need to move to a day parking zone
- With Car or Van:
Loading zone is in Welsh Street
5 minute parking only on Market Days, will need to move to a day parking zone
What can I sell?
- New and secondhand goods
- Fruit and Vegetables
- Some packaged foods may be sold (please check with Management)
What can't I sell?
- No illegally copied items that infringe Copyright and Trade Mark Law can be sold at our markets. The counterfeit ruling applies to all articles of clothing, hats, footwear, sunglasses, watches, cosmetics & per- fume, pirated DVD's, CD's, Videos, Audiotapes, Software, Floppy Discs, PlayStation games and all new- copied goods.
- No Food, Drink or Confectionary unless prior approval of Management
- No protected Flora or Fauna
- No Drugs or Medicines, Alcohol, dangerous or offensive items
- No Firearms or Weapons, Pornographic or any other materials deemed objectionable by Management.
- The sale of lottery, art union or raffle tickets, the conducting of any guessing game, lucky dip, chocolate wheel, side-show, competition, or game of chance is prohibited unless prior approval by Management. Consideration will only be given to holders of a current licence from the relevant State Authority. Final approval will be at the sole discretion of Management. If approved, such activities must be confined to the allocated stall space.
What can I hire?
- Stall spaces (4m x 3m and 3m x 3m)
- Trestle tables 1.8m or (6") additional $10 per stall
Does my stall space have any power?
- Check with Management if you require power or testing points for appliances
Do I need to book a space?
- Yes. You can book spaces either casually or on a permanent basis. Simply follow the instructions on the Book a Stall page
Are Charities entitled to free stall space?
- Yes. Charities and Fund Raising Groups are permitted one free stall space, but only by prior arrange- ment with Management. Minimum two weeks notice required and subject to availability.
Can I use Loud Speakers on my stall?
- Not without prior Management approval.
Am I allowed to erect an umbrella or canopy?
- Yes, providing they are properly secured and weighted down. Sellers must also ensure that umbrellas and canopies do not pose a risk to market patrons by protruding beyond allocated stall space and overhanging walkways.
Do I have to clean up afterwards?
- Yes. It is the stallholder's responsibility to take their own rubbish and unsold items with them, leaving stall spaces clean and tidy. Bins are available on site for litter and food scraps.
Terms and Condtions
1. Bump in time will be from 8:00 AM. No Bump in after 9:30 AM.
2. Bump out time will be NO EARLIER than 3.00 PM.
3. Kyneton Markets will trade from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturdays and Sundays (please see management re Public Holidays).
4. Vehicles are to be removed from market area by 9:30 AM.
5. All stall holders must keep their site clean and remove all rubbish from the site.
6. Stall holders will sell only the products stated on the application form.
7. All site fees must be paid in advance (NO EXCEPTIONS).
8. All food vendors must comply with the Australian and New Zealand Food Act 1989.
9. All power leads and electrical equipment must be tagged by a licensed electrician.
10. All parking and traffic signs must be obeyed at all times.
11. All food vendors will pay for any health inspection fee, set down by council.
12. Kyneton Markets will be an all weather Market, unless otherwise notified.
13. Any accident, personal injury or damage to the grounds must be reported to the Market Manager.
14. Worker Compensation and OH&S Licenses and Insurance are the full responsibility of the stallholder.
15. No alcohol, illegal drugs, pornographic material, weapons or aerosol spray paint can be for sale.
16. Any additional fees not stated in these terms and conditions are the responsibility of the stall holder.
17. Kyneton Market Manager has the right to amend the terms and conditions without any notice.
18. Non Profit Stall holders must attach a letter of authenticity.
19. Kyneton Market Manager and/or Kyneton managing staff have the right to refuse any stall holder that does not comply with all the terms and conditions.
